The short version
Total Bound Football has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Nothing you do here is tracked, profiled or sold — and there is no sign-up through which you could hand anything over.
Two things are remembered between visits — your timezone and whether you prefer the light or dark theme — and both are settings, not identifiers. The rest of this page is the detail.
What we ask you for
Nothing. There is no registration, no login, no newsletter and no contact form. We never ask for your name, email address, date of birth or payment details, and there is nowhere on the site to enter them.
Cookies
One cookie is set, and only if you choose a timezone from the picker in the header.

It holds a timezone name such as Europe/London and
nothing else. There is no identifier in it, it is not shared with
anyone, and it cannot be used to recognise you. There are no
advertising, analytics or third-party cookies, which is why the
site has no cookie banner.
Things kept in your browser only
These are stored by your browser and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. They stay on the device you are using.

Clearing your browser's site data for this site removes all of them, along with the cookie above.
Server logs
The site runs on shared hosting, and the web server keeps standard access logs in the ordinary way: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. If you use the search box, the words you searched for are part of the page address and so appear in those logs.
These logs exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not analysed to build any picture of you, not linked to anything else, and not shared with anybody. They are kept by the hosting provider under its own retention schedule.
Other companies your browser contacts
Some of what you see is loaded directly from other companies' servers. When that happens your browser connects to them, so they can see your IP address and user-agent, exactly as they would if you visited their own site. We do not tell them anything about you, and we receive nothing back about you.

crests.football-data.org) — club crests shown beside team names. - News publishers — the thumbnail on a story card is loaded from that publisher's own image servers, for example the BBC, ESPN or the Guardian. Which ones your browser contacts depends on which stories are on the page.
Links to full articles are ordinary links. Following one takes you to that publisher's site, where their privacy policy applies, not this one.
The site's typefaces are served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts, so no request for them reaches Google and no IP address is passed on.
Where the data on the site comes from
Scores, tables and headlines are fetched by our server from the providers listed on the about page, on a schedule. Those requests are made by the server on its own behalf: they happen whether or not anyone is reading the site, and they carry nothing about you.
Children
The site is aimed at a general football audience. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and has no feature that would allow a child to submit anything.
Your choices
- Decline the cookie by simply not choosing a timezone; times are then shown in the site's default zone.
- Clear the cookie and everything stored in your browser through your browser's settings for this site.
- Block the remaining third-party requests with a content blocker; the site still works, with crests and thumbnails missing.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area
The UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you rights over personal data about you. This site is operated from the United States, but those rights apply to visitors in the UK and the EEA, so this section sets out how they work here.

Total Bound Football is the data controller for this site and can be reached at info@totalbound.com.
What is processed, and on what basis
The only personal data this site processes is what the web server records automatically. An IP address counts as personal data under the GDPR even when it is not attached to a name, so it is treated as such here.

There is no other processing. No profiling, no automated decision-making, no advertising or measurement of any kind, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
How long it is kept
Server logs are retained by the hosting provider under its own schedule and are not copied elsewhere. The cookie expires after a year, or sooner if you clear it.
Where it goes
The site is operated from the United States, so log data about visitors in the UK and the EEA may be processed there. Nothing is transferred to any other organisation for their own purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your personal data, and to its correction, erasure or restriction; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to data portability.
In practice there is very little to act on, and it is worth being straight about why. Server logs are not indexed by anything that identifies a person, so they cannot be searched for "your" entries unless you supply the IP address and the approximate time yourself. Everything else the site remembers — the theme, the clubs you follow — never leaves your own browser, so it is already entirely yours to delete.
If you think your data has been handled improperly you can complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA it is the authority for the country you live in.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
